Where Russians Are Booking Summer Holidays: Top 10 Destinations Revealed

The travel planning service OneTwoTrip has released data on the most sought-after domestic summer destinations for Russian tourists, based on hotel bookings for the season ahead. Topping the list is St. Petersburg, accounting for 17.8% of all hotel reservations, followed by Moscow at 12.6%. The Black Sea resorts of Adler and Sochi claim third and fourth places with 5.6% and 3.4% respectively, while Kaliningrad rounds out the top five at 3.1%. Completing the top ten are Kazan (2.9%), EstoSadok (2.4%), Nizhny Novgorod (2.1%), Vladivostok (1.5%), and Zelenogradsk (1.3%).

On average, travelers are booking accommodations for 3.9 nights and spending about 10,300 rubles per day. Hotels remain the dominant choice, representing 66.9% of bookings, followed by apartments (8.3%), guest houses (6.4%), apart-hotels (4.1%), and mini-hotels (3.3%).

Compared to last year, interest in wellness and alternative stays has surged. Bookings for resort hotels jumped 41.7%, while capsule hotels and sanatoriums saw a 50% increase. Guest houses rose 14.3%, and hostels edged up 5%.
