When to Book Your African Safari: New Data Reveals the Cheapest Months to Fly

For Russian travelers dreaming of an African adventure, timing is everything. New data from ticket service KupiBilet, reported by Life.ru, pinpoints the most affordable months to fly, arriving as talks of new direct flights and visa waivers with several African nations gain momentum.

The analysis shows flight costs to the continent fluctuate significantly throughout the year. The clear budget winners are February, with average fares around 25,600 rubles, and March, dipping even lower to approximately 22,800 rubles. Late summer also offers relative value, with August tickets averaging 29,700 rubles.

However, travelers should mark their calendars for a steep autumn price hike. Come September, average fares are projected to leap to 51,500 rubles, climbing further to about 55,400 rubles in October.

Industry experts note that Africa remains a rapidly growing yet still under-explored market for Russian tourists. The recent finalization of a visa-free agreement with Zambia, alongside ongoing discussions to establish direct air links with the country, signals a shift. Analysts suggest that as travel logistics improve, interest in African destinations is poised for a substantial increase, making strategic booking more important than ever.
