Vietnam Hotels Sell Out as Russian Tourists Flood In

Russian travelers have snapped up nearly all available tours to Vietnam, booking every popular hotel in sight, according to TourDom. The travel industry source reports that for the next two weeks, it's impossible to reserve rooms at decent hotels in the country. Tour operators are now redirecting Russians to other destinations because demand has simply overwhelmed supply. "Almost everything is on hold. The selection is very limited," one operator noted.
In Da Nang, some hotels are already taking bookings for winter. The Vinpearl chain, which offers 11- to 12-night packages, has only four properties left. The cheapest option is a deluxe room at Vinpearl Empire Nha Trang Affiliated By Melia for 291,000 rubles, while a superior garden room at the five-star Diamond Bay Resort & Spa runs 282,000 rubles, TourDom reports.
The boom comes despite a recent complaint from a Russian tourist who vacationed in the popular resort of Nha Trang and left disappointed. She described local residents as "gloomy and unfriendly," criticized poor service, and complained about expensive, unappetizing food at local restaurants. Whether her experience reflects a broader trend remains unclear, but it hasn't slowed the rush to book.
