Ural Airlines Cancels First Yekaterinburg-Delhi Flights After India Withholds Permit

RIA NovostiSunday, October 25, 2026

Ural Airlines has cancelled its first scheduled flights between Yekaterinburg and Delhi, which had been set for 25 October, after Indian aviation authorities failed to issue the required flight permit by the launch date. The airline said it had done extensive preparation for the direct route, but the approval did not arrive in time.

The affected services were flights U6-815 from Yekaterinburg to Delhi and U6-816 on the return leg. The carrier said it is continuing work to secure the permit for the flight programme.

Passengers have been offered alternative routings on other airlines, a full refund of their tickets, or the option to move their departure to a later date.
