United Airlines Adds Peacock Shows to Its In-Flight Entertainment Lineup

If you’re flying United Airlines soon, you might want to skip downloading movies before you board. Starting May 1, the carrier is adding select Peacock content to its seat-back screens and personal devices—at no extra cost.
United announced Friday that the NBCUniversal streaming service will be available on more than 800 aircraft. Passengers can watch on the built-in screens or stream through the United mobile app on their own phones or tablets.
Initial offerings include Peacock originals like Season 4 of "The Traitors" and the thriller "All Her Fault." Additional shows, including "The Copenhagen Test" and "Ponies," are expected to roll out in June. A United representative told CNET that the lineup will be refreshed regularly, with new titles rotating in over time. The same shows and movies will be available on both domestic and international flights.
Peacock joins an already packed in-flight library that includes HBO Max, A24, and Spotify. Last August, United began offering complete seasons of Apple TV Plus hits like "Severance." The airline now boasts more than 450 movies and over 1,000 TV episodes.
What’s not yet clear is whether live sports—including Sunday night baseball, basketball, football, and this weekend’s Kentucky Derby—will be part of the deal. Peacock did not respond to a request for comment.
