Ulyanovsk Firm Becomes Russia's First Certified Specialist in Child Travel

MOSCOW, Feb 10 – A travel company based in Ulyanovsk has become the first tour operator in Russia to receive a specialized certification for children's tourism, according to an announcement from Roskachestvo, the national quality system.

The certification, conducted by Roskachestvo's tourism division, verifies that the operator's services meet a stringent set of national standards designed specifically for youth trips. The audit went beyond basic safety, examining criteria from staff qualifications and medical support to transport logistics, educational program content, and transparency in communication with parents.

Alexandra Shershnyova, head of Roskachestvo-Tourism, explained that organizing travel for children demands a specialized focus. "Merely meeting baseline requirements is insufficient," she stated. "This is the first time we have implemented an expanded evaluation methodology that accounts for every facet of safety and the educational value of a child's vacation."

The move signals a push toward more regulated and qualitatively assured travel options for Russian families. With this new benchmark in place, industry observers expect other operators to seek similar certification as parents increasingly look for verified guarantees when planning their children's journeys.
