Travel Blogger Notes Northern Cyprus's Appeal for Russian Expats

Russian travel blogger Ekaterina, who writes the personal blog 'I'm Katya | I Live in Travels' on the Dzen platform, recently visited Northern Cyprus. Her key takeaway was that the region presents a notably practical option for Russians considering a move abroad.

Ekaterina pointed to an established Russian-speaking community and a straightforward, comprehensible daily life as major draws. She suggested that for her compatriots seeking seaside access, a milder climate, and a relatively simple transition, Northern Cyprus holds significant appeal. 'I understand why many find it interesting as a place to live,' she wrote. 'It can seem more budget-friendly, more relaxed, more accessible. Especially compared to Europe, or some other costly coastal destinations.'

The blogger acknowledged the area's attractions, which include beaches, hotels, historic castles, abbeys, and casinos. However, she offered a personal caveat: the visit did not spark a desire to stay. 'For me, this place wasn't about love, but more about observation,' Ekaterina concluded.
