Three Days in Miami, Through a Local's Eyes

Miami is a city of constant motion, but for Duda Teixeira, co-founder of the sea-inspired brand Éliou, its essence remains. Having grown up between Brazil and the ocean, she finds a grounding familiarity in its rhythm, climate, and culture. Her ideal Miami visit isn't about checking boxes; it's about feeling the city's pulse.

Day one starts with breakfast at a small spot like Doma, where the egg dishes are flawless and the olive oil cake is a quiet revelation. A heated yoga class at Mimi’s provides a focused push before the day unfolds. For dinner, Fooq’s delivers shareable plates with Persian flair, turning a meal into an evening. Cap it at the vinyl lounge upstairs, a cozy den of rugs and low light that feels like a friend's private listening room.

On day two, cross the Rickenbacker Causeway to Key Biscayne. Pick up a shatteringly good croissant from Flour & Weirdoughs. After a heated Pilates session at Tondo Room, claim a spot on the wide, calm beach by The Ritz-Carlton. As afternoon fades, head to Gramps Getaway, a wood-paneled shack where you can watch sunset with a cold drink in a plastic cup, feeling miles from the city.

Save day three for art and evening atmosphere. The Rubell Museum’s vast contemporary collection shows the evolution of major artists. For dinner, Leku is a must—dine under a massive tree, order the Green Ghoul cocktail, and don't skip the ice cream sandwich. Later, catch a show at The Anderson, an open-air venue known for pulling surprising talent, or settle into the intimate, moody vibe of Las Rosas for a night of dancing where the crowd feels like it shares a secret.

It’s a mix of the polished and the perfectly unpretentious, a rhythm that feels distinctly like home.
