This Tiny Camper Solves the Biggest Problem With Small Trailers
Let’s be honest: One of the worst parts of camping in a compact trailer is figuring out where to go to the bathroom. You can either brave the elements at 3 a.m. or invest in a complicated portable setup. Encore RV thinks it has a better idea. Their new ROG 12RK-FB is a lightweight, garage-friendly camper that hides a full bathroom in a box on the trailer tongue.
When you’re parked, that box pops up into a surprisingly roomy wet bath. It stands nearly seven feet tall, so most adults can stand up straight. Inside, you get a Thetford cassette toilet, a hot-water shower, a propane-fed heater, and even a non-slip foam floor. The whole thing is made from aluminum and has screened windows for airflow. The trailer’s 18,000-BTU furnace sends ducted heat into the bathroom, so you don’t have to shiver through your morning rinse.
Fresh water comes from a 43-gallon tank, and an on-demand heater promises endless hot water—as long as your propane holds out. When you’re not using the bathroom, the top of the folded module turns into a cargo deck with tie-downs, perfect for hauling bikes or gear.
The whole trailer weighs just 2,800 pounds and fits in a standard garage. It starts at $34,495, which isn’t cheap. But for anyone who has ever stumbled through a dark, rainy campsite looking for a toilet, it might be the best money they ever spend.
