Summer Vacation Plans: Nearly Half of Russians Ready to Take Time Off
A new survey reveals that 47% of Russians are planning to take a vacation this summer, with another 18% still undecided about their time-off plans. The findings come from a study conducted by the job platform Rabota.ru, which polled more than 3,200 respondents between April 20 and 24.
Among those set to travel, July is the most popular month, chosen by 46% of participants. August follows at 34%, while June attracts 20% of vacationers. When it comes to duration, the majority (53%) expect to take up to two weeks off. Another 35% plan a longer break of 15 days or more, and 12% will stick to just one week.
As for where they’ll go, 37% of respondents intend to stay home during their vacation. A quarter say they will travel within Russia, while 24% head to their dachas. Coastal resorts inside the country appeal to 17%, and only 3% plan to go abroad. The remaining 13% are considering other options.
The data suggests that while many Russians are eager for a summer break, domestic stays and short trips remain the dominant trend.
