Search for Missing Helicopter in Primorye Halted Due to Darkness and Low Clouds

The search for a Robinson R44 helicopter that went missing in Primorye has been suspended due to the onset of darkness and low cloud cover. The helicopter, which was carrying out forestry work, took off from the village of Terney and was headed to the settlement of Edinka in the Terney district. However, the crew failed to make contact at the scheduled time, and their whereabouts remain unknown. A search and rescue operation was launched, involving a Mi-8 helicopter from the airline 'UTair - Helicopter Services' with rescuers on board, as well as two helicopters from the airline 'Granat'. According to Rosaviatsia, the search will resume on Monday morning, local time. The missing helicopter, registered as RA-07425, had two people on board - a pilot and an observer. The cause of the disappearance is still unclear, and an investigation is underway. The search operation was hindered by the difficult weather conditions, but rescuers are hopeful that they will be able to locate the missing helicopter when the search resumes. The incident highlights the risks and challenges faced by those working in the forestry and aviation industries, and the importance of search and rescue operations in such situations.
