Ryanair Passenger Sentenced After Assaulting Crew Member Mid-Flight

A Ryanair passenger has been convicted for a shocking mid-air assault on a flight attendant. Aaron Brady, 31, was sentenced following an incident that occurred on a 2025 flight to Ireland, though the court hearing concluded only recently.
According to court reports, Brady and his partner consumed five bottles of wine at the airport before boarding. Once on the plane, he continued drinking, ordering approximately 15 mini bottles of alcohol. In a severely intoxicated state, Brady approached the galley and began harassing a female crew member.
The attendant pushed his leg away after he placed it on her lap. Brady then touched her inappropriately, kissed her cheek, and grabbed her head, pulling it toward his groin. The crew member managed to break free and immediately reported the assault to the pilots.
In court, Brady stated he had no memory of the events due to his level of intoxication but pleaded guilty and apologized. The victim, who resigned from her job following the ordeal, told the court she still feels disgust when recalling the attack. As part of his sentence, Brady was ordered to pay the woman €5,000 in compensation, which she accepted.
The judge has deferred final sentencing until June. Ryanair has issued Brady a lifetime ban from all its flights. This case follows other recent incidents where airlines have taken a firm stance against passenger misconduct toward crew members.
