Russians Seek Sun in March: Thailand, Vietnam, UAE Top Beach Getaway List
MOSCOW, Feb 14 – As winter drags on, Russian travelers are booking beach holidays for March, with clear favorites emerging. According to data from the travel planning service OneTwoTrip, Thailand, Vietnam, and the United Arab Emirates are the most sought-after destinations for a seaside escape next month.
Thailand leads the list, accounting for 10.9% of all international hotel bookings made by Russians for March. Analysts note that March offers an attractive window at the tail end of the high season: temperatures hover around a warm 30°C, rainfall remains low, and the crowds from the peak winter months begin to thin.
Vietnam captures second place with 5.4% of bookings. The country promises reliably sunny and calm weather until May. Travelers can expect round-trip airfare from Russia to average approximately 87,700 rubles, with a hotel room costing around 8,600 rubles per night.
The UAE, a perennial favorite, takes third spot with 5.2% of bookings. A flight to the Emirates costs roughly 40,000 rubles round-trip, though accommodation is higher at an average of 27,800 rubles per night.
The service also noted conditions in Goa, India, where March brings intense heat up to 35°C and rising humidity, despite minimal rain. Flights there average 56,800 rubles, with hotels at about 13,900 rubles per night.
