Russians Reveal Their Flight Time Limits for Vacation Travel

A recent study by the 'Kupibilet' service has shed light on just how long Russians are willing to spend on a plane for their dream vacation. The research, obtained by 'Lenta.ru', shows that the majority of Russians, 35%, prefer flights that last between three to five hours, including layovers. Another 26% are comfortable with flights under three hours, while 25% can tolerate flights between five to eight hours. Only 13% of respondents are open to considering long-haul flights with layovers. So, what's behind this reluctance to embark on lengthy flights? For 30% of those surveyed, the main reason is a fear of flying. Almost as many, 28%, complain about the physical discomfort of long flights, while 22% are put off by the thought of spending an entire day traveling. Additionally, 10% try to avoid long flights due to the challenges of dealing with jet lag and adjusting to new time zones. Interestingly, the 'Kupibilet' service notes that tourists are more willing to endure long flights if it means reaching their winter vacation spot, an exotic destination, or enjoying an extended break. This research comes on the heels of advice given to Russians with heart conditions and other chronic illnesses on how to navigate long-haul flights, including the use of compression clothing to stay comfortable.
