Russian Vacationers Voice Growing Concerns Over Turkey’s Rising Costs

Russian tourists are increasingly complaining about the price of their holidays in Turkey, with many pointing to expenses outside all-inclusive hotels as the main source of frustration, according to industry representatives in Antalya. Reports from the Turkish resort region indicate that visitors are feeling the pinch on everything from meals and drinks to beach services and excursions.

Turkish authorities say they are monitoring the situation closely and plan to take steps to keep the country attractive for international travelers. A government source confirmed to RIA Novosti that officials are aware of the feedback and are working to maintain comfortable conditions for guests.

“This season, Russian tourists are more vocal about the cost of food, tours, and extra services at Turkish resorts,” one industry insider noted. Local tourism professionals add that many visitors are now cutting back on dining out and activities beyond their hotel grounds. Mahinur Öztepe, a tourism representative in Antalya, explained: “In the past, guests would happily eat at outside restaurants several times during a trip. Now, they’re trying to limit those expenses. The main complaints are about food, drinks, and beach services.”

Despite the grumbles, Turkey remains a top destination for Russian travelers. Davut Günaydın, deputy chair of the Turkish Travel Agencies Association (TÜRSAB), recently said the country expects between 4.5 and 6 million Russian visitors in 2026, though he cautioned that precise forecasts are complicated by ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
