As summer approaches, Russian tourists are finding affordable beach getaways beyond the Middle East, with Egypt and several Asian countries emerging as top picks. Tour operator Russian Express reports that Egypt leads with an average booking cost of 172,000 rubles for two people during May and June. Vietnam and China are also drawing interest, with prices averaging 157,000 rubles and 173,000 rubles per couple, respectively. For those seeking even better value, Thailand offers the lowest average at 113,000 rubles for two travelers. Trips typically last nine to 10 nights in Egypt, 11 nights in China, and 10 to 11 nights in both Vietnam and Thailand. The company notes that Turkey, already the most-booked destination from mid-May through September, will join the list of affordable Middle East alternatives as summer weather improves.
