Russian Travel Blogger Reveals Major Savings at Turkish Dental Clinics

A Russian travel blogger living in Turkey has sparked interest among medical tourists after detailing how her mother saved hundreds of thousands of rubles on dental work in Antalya. Writing on her Dzen platform blog 'Mom by the Sea | Turkey and Travel,' she noted that more Russians are heading to Turkey for procedures ranging from hair transplants to eye surgery and IVF. Popular destinations include Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, and Antalya, she said.
The blogger shared a striking cost comparison: a dental procedure quoted at 1.2 million rubles in Sochi cost just 600,000 rubles at a Turkish clinic. Her mother will need two trips to complete the work, but even after factoring in flights, accommodation, and meals, the total remains significantly lower. 'The savings are enormous,' she wrote, adding that the quality of care matched or exceeded what she found back home.
Still, she warned against choosing the cheapest option without research. She advised checking the doctor's qualifications, reading patient reviews, examining the equipment and materials used, and understanding the treatment plan and guarantees. The caution comes as more Russians seek affordable healthcare abroad, a trend that shows no signs of slowing.
