Russian Tourists Report Dust, Dirt and Bedbugs at Hurghada's Mirage Bay Resort

Russian visitors have described the Mirage Bay Resort & Aqua Park in Hurghada, Egypt, as plagued by "dust and dirt everywhere, plus bedbugs," according to the Telegram channel Krysha TurDoma.
One Russian man checked in with his 12-year-old daughter after paying for concierge service and handing over an extra $30 (2,500 rubles) at reception for a good room. Instead, he complained of a broken balcony door and chair, bedding stained with dirty marks, blood on a pillow and, worst of all, bedbugs.
Staff offered three alternative rooms, but the father and daughter found them in equally poor condition. The tourists asked to switch hotels and wrote to their tour operator and booking aggregator at night, receiving no reply. The next day, a hotel guide began searching for options, reportedly intimidated by the man's persistence. He said they are not the only family seeking to leave Mirage Bay, adding: "If they drag it out, we'll buy our own and then go to court."
Another Russian tourist previously complained about conditions at a Hurghada hotel, saying guests had to "fight for food."
