Russian Tourists Released from Turkish Hospitals After Bus Crash
Twelve Russian tourists have been discharged from hospitals in Turkey following a bus accident in Antalya, according to the Russian Association of Tour Operators (ATOR), citing the insurer Euroins Travel Insurance. The crash occurred on May 23 near the town of Beldibi, sending at least 14 Russian visitors to local medical facilities for treatment and evaluation. All were covered by travel insurance.
Euroins reported that 11 of the injured required advanced imaging, including CT scans, MRIs, and X-rays. Three tourists received stitches for superficial facial wounds. After receiving care and undergoing examinations, 12 were released and are now recovering at their hotels. One of those discharged has already been cleared to fly home.
However, two women remain hospitalized after undergoing surgery. One needed an operation for a broken upper arm bone, while the other required surgery on a fractured ring finger. Both procedures were successful, and the patients are receiving postoperative care in their rooms.
ATOR confirmed that the two women are stable and receiving all necessary medical attention. The accident has not dampened spirits among the group, with most returning to their vacation plans after a frightening ordeal.
