Russian Tourists in Antalya Trade Steak for Seafood at All-Inclusive Resorts

ANKARA, May 15 — If you’ve visited an all-inclusive resort in Antalya lately, you might have noticed a shift on the buffet line. Russian vacationers, long known for favoring hearty meat dishes, are now piling their plates with shrimp, calamari, mussels, sea bass, and dorado instead.

Mehmet Usta Bilginer, a hotel owner in Antalya, told reporters that seafood and Mediterranean cuisine have become the top draw for Russian guests. “They’re showing real enthusiasm for fish and shellfish,” he said. “Traditional meat options are taking a back seat.”

Hotels along the coast are adapting quickly. Many now host dedicated seafood nights and themed dinners featuring Turkish and Mediterranean specialties. According to Bilginer, these events are especially popular among families and travelers staying at five-star properties.

The trend reflects a broader change in what tourists expect from their vacations. It’s no longer just about sun, sand, and unlimited drinks. Guests are paying closer attention to food quality, ingredient freshness, and menu variety. For Russian tourists in Antalya, the catch of the day has become the star of the show.
