Russian Tourist Slams Montenegro Resort: 'Dirty Streets, 1990s-Era Promenade'

A Russian tourist returned from Montenegro with a blunt assessment, describing dirty streets and a Budva promenade whose road surface reminded her of the 1990s.
In a review shared with the Tonkosti Turizma portal and published on the Dzen platform, the reader said the trip came with problems she considered unusual for Europe. Beaches drew particular criticism: people lie so tightly packed together, she said, that walking between them is sometimes impossible, comparing the scene to the cartoon "Nu, Pogodi!"
She also complained about an excursion to the Bay of Kotor, saying staff at the organizing company offered no help. She noted that across many countries visited, she had never encountered such a "European" level of service.
Setting aside one-euro toilets, litter on the ground, absent service and graffiti-covered train cars, she concluded that Montenegro is still a beautiful country.
