Russian PM: Altai Draws Tourists and Business Visitors
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin met with Andrey Turcak, head of the Altai Republic, and praised the region's broad appeal. Altai, he said, always attracts a large number of tourists and also people traveling there for work, who cannot help but admire its beautiful places.
Mishustin asked Turcak to outline how Mountain Altai is developing and what the tourism situation looks like. He then suggested they discuss all these matters in detail at an upcoming conference, where tourism will be on the agenda.
Mishustin added that the conversation could include what additional measures—including from the federal government—might be needed to give a fresh boost to the socio-economic development of the Altai Republic.
