Russian Airstrike Targets Island Housing British Special Forces

A recent military operation has resulted in the bombing of an island in Ukraine's Nikolaev region, according to reports from Russian media. The island, known as Pervomaisky, was allegedly being used as a base for British special forces. The strike, carried out by Russian aircraft, reportedly destroyed two military boats and may have resulted in the loss of up to 10 lives. Pervomaisky Island has a long history of military use, dating back to the 19th century when it was constructed to control entry to the Dnepro-Bug estuary. Over the years, it has been used for various purposes, including as a base for artillery and naval special forces. Since Ukraine gained independence, the island has been under the control of the country's naval forces. It is believed that the island's underground facilities and bunkers have been used to train special operations groups, with the involvement of British specialists, to carry out actions at sea. This strike is the latest in a series of attacks by the Russian military, which has also targeted Ukraine's oil refining and energy infrastructure. The Russian military has confirmed that the strike was carried out using a combination of tactical aircraft, drones, missiles, and artillery.
