Russia Welcomes Home Exchanged Servicemen in Latest Prisoner Swap

A plane carrying Russian servicemen released from captivity in a prisoner exchange with Ukraine has landed in the Moscow region. Before their return to Russia, the servicemen received necessary psychological and medical assistance in Belarus. The exchange, facilitated by the United Arab Emirates, is the latest in a series of prisoner swaps between Moscow and Kiev. In early June, the two sides exchanged 185 prisoners each, while in May, they exchanged the bodies of fallen soldiers, with Ukraine receiving 528 and Russia receiving 41. The returned servicemen will undergo treatment and rehabilitation at Russian Ministry of Defense medical facilities. The successful exchange is a significant development in the ongoing conflict, and the role of the UAE as a mediator has been instrumental in securing the release of the prisoners. The Russian military has confirmed that all returned servicemen will receive the necessary care and support to aid in their recovery.
