Rafael Nadal and Armani Join Forces for Exclusive Marbella Residences
The Armani Group is bringing its signature style to Spain’s Costa del Sol for the first time. In a three-way partnership with Sierra Blanca Estates and Palya Invest—the firm co-owned by tennis legend Rafael Nadal and entrepreneur Abel Matutes—the Italian fashion house will develop a luxury residential project in Marbella.
Nadal and Armani have a long history. The 22-time Grand Slam champion fronted Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans campaigns starting in 2011. Now, he’s moving from model to developer. “This project holds a very special meaning for me, particularly because of the opportunity to collaborate once again with the Armani Group,” Nadal said. “Together with Sierra Blanca, we aim to create a development focused on well-being, sporting values, and the Mediterranean lifestyle.”
Construction on Armani Residences Marbella is set to break ground in June 2026, with completion expected in 2028. The project will include just 33 homes, built on one of the last undeveloped private plots along Marbella’s Golden Mile—the prime stretch between the city and Puerto Banús. Spread across 540,000 square feet, the property offers views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Sierra Blanca mountains.
Sales will roll out in phases, starting with 12 residences. Each unit will be designed and furnished by Armani/Casa, with amenities including a spa, gym, private club, and round-the-clock concierge service.
Carlos Rodríguez, CEO of Sierra Blanca Estates, called the partnership a turning point for Marbella. “Armani is one of the most important brands in the world, with decades of residential experience. To do this alongside the Nadal and Matutes families makes it even more special.”
The Armani Group has been expanding its footprint in luxury real estate. Last month, it signed a joint venture with Symphony Global to develop more Armani Hotels & Resorts internationally, building on the success of the Armani Hotel in Dubai and a second in Milan.
