Panic-Free Evacuation: Fire at Bali Family Resort Captured on Video

Guests at the Club Med family resort in Bali were jolted awake by fire alarms early Thursday morning as flames tore through the property’s restaurant. The blaze, which broke out around 7 a.m. local time, sent thick smoke and towering flames shooting through the roof of the building, all caught on video by startled tourists. The all-inclusive resort sits in the upscale Nusa Dua area, a quiet enclave known for its luxury hotels and pristine beaches.

Despite the dramatic scene, the evacuation went smoothly. Guest Hailey Priest praised the staff’s calm response, saying there was “minimal panic” and that everyone felt safe. “By 7:30 a.m., we all had bottles of water. The management and team checked on every guest and kept us informed,” she told reporters. Guests were guided to the beach, where a bar remained open for anyone in need, and a children’s play area was set up on the grass to keep families comfortable.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames. Resort management confirmed no injuries were reported. The incident comes just weeks after a deadly nightclub fire in Goa, India, killed 25 people, making the swift, orderly response at Club Med a relief for travelers. The resort is now assessing damage and working to resume normal operations.
