NAAR in Kasauli Tops India's 50 Best Restaurants List for 2026

The Condé Nast Traveler x District Top Restaurant Awards have revealed their 2026 ranking of India's 50 best restaurants, announced at a ceremony at The Grand Hyatt in Bambolim, Goa. NAAR, chef Prateek Sadhu's 16-seat Himalayan restaurant near Darwa village in Himachal Pradesh, took the top spot.

Mumbai and Goa each placed 13 restaurants on the list, with Goa pulling level with Mumbai for the first time. Bengaluru follows with six, Chennai and Kolkata four apiece, New Delhi three, and Shillong two. Kasauli, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Gurugram and Karaikudi claim one each.

The list was compiled from a shortlist of more than 1,000 restaurants, with a 105-member jury voting in two phases. Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP served as process advisors, and jurors were screened for conflicts of interest.

The Table in Mumbai ranked second, followed by Papa's in Mumbai, FarmLore in Bengaluru and Sienna Calcutta in Kolkata to round out the top five.
