Mishustin says ASI plays active role in Russia’s tourism programs

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) is actively involved in developing programs and strategies for tourism growth in Russia. He spoke after a meeting with ASI Director General Svetlana Chupsheva in Gorno-Altaysk on Wednesday.
The previous day, Mishustin had chaired a meeting on tourism and hospitality in the Altai Republic. According to Mishustin, participants discussed what is needed to meet the president’s goal of raising tourism’s share in Russia’s GDP to 5%.
Mishustin also mentioned that an EAEU intergovernmental council meeting was due the next day in Cholpon-Ata, and asked Chupsheva to outline ASI projects carried out with member states of the union.
