Mishustin: Russia will keep supporting Crimea’s tourism industry

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said the tourism industry in Crimea and Sevastopol has had a difficult year, and the government plans to continue supporting it.
He recalled that the cabinet has directed 4.3 billion rubles to tourism organizations on the peninsula, with the goal of preserving jobs and allowing businesses to keep working. “We will continue this work,” Mishustin said.
Earlier, President Vladimir Putin said Ukrainian military actions against Russia’s energy sector were linked to attempts to disrupt the holiday season in the south, including Crimea. Russia has faced summer fuel supply disruptions caused by logistics changes, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said. The government responded with measures including a gasoline export ban and tax incentives for fuel imports and domestic production, while Rosaviatsia said airports have enough fuel.
