Minsk Tops List for Affordable Summer Getaways from Russia

For Russian travelers watching their wallets this summer, a trip to Minsk offers the cheapest flight option, according to new data. Elena Shelekhova, press service head for the OneTwoTrip service, shared findings from searches for summer 2026 flights to fifty popular foreign cities. The average one-way ticket to the Belarusian capital comes in at just 10,700 rubles per person.
Yerevan, Armenia, follows as the second most budget-friendly destination for flights, priced at approximately 15,500 rubles. Tashkent, Uzbekistan, takes third place with fares around 16,400 rubles. Completing the top five are the Uzbek cities of Bukhara and Urgench, both with average flight costs of 16,900 rubles.
Shelekhova also provided figures for accommodation, noting that a three-star hotel room for two in Minsk averages 7,000 rubles per night. Costs are lower elsewhere: 5,000 rubles in Yerevan, 4,500 in Tashkent, and just 4,000 rubles in Bukhara and Urgench.
The top ten list of value destinations is rounded out by several other cities, including Samarkand, Fergana, Namangan, and Sukhum. This trend toward more affordable, independent travel aligns with a broader shift in preferences. As Dmitry Arutyunov, General Director of Art-Tour, recently observed, many Russian tourists are moving away from standard all-inclusive packages. There's a growing interest, he said, in active trips focused on discovery, personal interaction, and experiencing different cultures firsthand.
