Miami Roars Back: Gumball 3000 Returns After 12 Years with World Cup Run

Boca Raton TribuneMonday, June 8, 2026

After more than a decade away, the world’s most famous supercar rally has roared back into South Florida. Gumball 3000 kicked off its 27th annual rally this weekend from the Seminole Hard Rock Guitar Hotel in Hollywood, sending more than 100 exotic and luxury vehicles rumbling toward Mexico City. The theme this year? “The Road to the World Cup.”

The starting grid was packed with celebrities, athletes, and influencers from over 40 countries. Among the faces in the crowd: Gumball founder Maximillion Cooper and his wife, Grammy-winning rapper Eve; electronic music stars Deadmau5 and DJ Afrojack; and the YouTube car crew known as DailyDrivenExotics (DDE).

The rally’s first leg took drivers from Miami across the Gulf, with the ultimate destination being Mexico City—timed perfectly so participants can catch the opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at Estadio Azteca. It’s a 3,000-mile grind that mixes speed, style, and a heavy dose of spectacle.

For those who missed the send-off, the route continues south. Organizers promise more surprises as the convoy rolls through multiple countries before reaching the final whistle in Mexico. Get the full itinerary and behind-the-scenes details online.
