Miami Beach’s Iconic Delano Hotel Returns With a Fresh Look and New Perks

WWDSunday, April 26, 2026

The Delano, a Miami Beach landmark since 1947, has reopened just in time for the World Cup crowds this summer. After an extensive renovation led by Elastic Architects and lifestyle group Ennismore, the Art Deco gem now feels lighter and more open, with minimalist decor and organic furniture that let the building’s bones shine.

Original details like octagonal columns and terrazzo floors have been carefully restored, with input from the Miami Design Preservation League. “We want guests to feel the energy of Miami Beach in a space that’s both comfortable and welcoming,” says chief brand officer Ben Pundhole. A new art program, curated by artist Nicola Green, will spotlight local early- and mid-career artists.

Step into the lobby and you’ll find Café Delano and a boutique called Nothing Finer, stocked with signature items from Chez Dede and a limited-edition Delano World Cup jersey made with The Paradise Suite. French hospitality group Paris Society makes its U.S. debut here, bringing two dining concepts: Italian spot Gigi Rigolatto and Mimi Kakushi, a Japanese restaurant inspired by 1920s Osaka that’s already a hit in Dubai. Mimi Kakushi sits on the fourth floor, open only to hotel guests and members of the new Delano Members Club.

That club launches in Miami first, with plans to expand to other Delano properties. Members get access to a private fourth-floor pool, a fitness studio, the social spa The Source by Delano, and events like talks, masterclasses, live music, and comedy. “Travelers today care about wellness and longevity,” Pundhole explains. “This hotel sets the tone for where Delano is headed—in a city that, like us, has evolved.”
