Luxury During the Forum: St. Petersburg Hotel Hits Nearly 900,000 Rubles a Night
As the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) approaches, hotel prices in the city are reaching eye-watering levels. The most expensive room available during the event costs nearly 900,000 rubles per night.
According to RIA Novosti, a luxury suite at one of the city's hotels is listed at 898,240 rubles for a single occupant. If two guests share the room, the price climbs to 902,240 rubles. But you cannot book just one night—the minimum stay is a four-night package, running from June 2 to June 6.
What does that kind of money get you? The suite features a living room with a decorative fireplace, a separate bedroom with an orthopedic mattress, a guest toilet, and a private bathroom. Breakfast is included in the form of a buffet.
At the other end of the spectrum, the cheapest room during SPIEF costs just 10,000 rubles per night for a single guest, or 11,200 rubles for two people. That basic option comes with a mini-kitchen and a dining area.
This year’s forum is scheduled from June 3 to June 6. RIA Novosti serves as the event’s general information partner.
