Lost and Found: Rafters Vanish on Russian River – Then Walk Out Unharmed

Four tourists disappeared while rafting on the Inzer River in Bashkiria’s Beloretsky district, according to local news outlet Bashinform. The group was reported missing over the weekend, sparking a search across the remote waterway.
That wasn’t the only incident. In the same 24-hour window, a woman paddled away from Lake Kandrykul and lost her way, while a man and his son went missing during a rafting trip on the Urshak River. All three cases unfolded within the past day, raising alarms among emergency services.
Thankfully, every missing person turned up on their own. The State Committee for Emergency Situations of Bashkiria confirmed no one was injured. The tourists simply found their way back after their unplanned adventures – no rescue needed.
Separately, a kayaker vanished earlier this month while traveling near the village of Krasnoturansk in Krasnoyarsk Krai. That case remains open, highlighting the risks of solo river trips in Russia’s wilder regions.
