Kulikovo Field Museum-Reserve to Add Family Eco-Trail

Kulikovo Field State Museum-Reserve is preparing a family-friendly eco-trail, according to its press service. The route will be circular, so families with children won't have to walk back the same way. It will partly follow the Russian Geographical Society’s existing eco-trail, then continue around the village of Monastyrshchino, said Olga Kashirina, head of excursions and tourism at the museum-reserve.
New information boards, benches, waste bins and direction signs are planned in the coming months. The signs will be written in language school students can understand after basic biology and geography classes, and will include QR codes for an audio guide in the form of a conversation between a biology student and an archaeologist.
The reserve is also preparing a quest booklet. Families staying at its hotel can pick up a booklet from the administrator, then solve tasks and rebuses together, using the trail signs and audio guide. The trail will operate from May to October. Most paths will be covered with special gravel that stays almost dry after rain. Visitors are also invited to try the museum-reserve’s other battlefield routes.
