Kerch Crossing Ferry Services Halted, Truckers Rerouted

As of Sunday, ferry transportation through the Kerch crossing in Kuban has been suspended, according to the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region. This move affects the movement of goods and people, with significant implications for the region's logistics. In response to the suspension, drivers of heavy trucks are being advised to use an alternative overland route, specifically the R-280 highway, which passes through Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, Mariupol, Melitopol, and Simferopol. The reason behind this rerouting is the prohibition on transit via the Crimean Bridge. The temporary halt in ferry services is expected to impact the flow of traffic and commerce in the area, prompting drivers to plan their routes accordingly. The operational headquarters has issued this guidance to minimize disruptions and ensure the smooth movement of goods and vehicles. With the Kerch crossing ferry services suspended, the alternative route via the R-280 highway is now the recommended path for heavy truck drivers, aiming to reduce potential delays and congestion.
