How to Save on Universal Orlando Tickets This August

Universal Orlando Resort is a top pick for thrill-seekers, especially with the May 2025 debut of Epic Universe, a new park featuring rides like the Stardust Racers roller coaster and the family-friendly Constellation Carousel. But theme park vacations can get pricey, so it pays to look for deals before you buy.

For August visits, the park is currently offering a promo where you get two days free when you purchase a 3-Day Base or Park-to-Park Ticket, giving you five days to explore Epic Universe, Universal Studios Florida, and Islands of Adventure. Another option: save up to 30% on stays of five or more nights at participating hotels for trips between September 2026 and March 2027, though some holiday dates are blacked out.

Hotel guests at select Premier properties get free Universal Express Unlimited passes, which let you skip lines on most rides, and early park access to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Volcano Bay—up to an hour before regular opening.

Annual passholders can save up to 40% on select hotel stays during Passholder Appreciation Days (typically Sunday through Thursday) and may get perks like exclusive merchandise and dining discounts during Appreciation Months.

Military personnel—including active duty, reservists, National Guard, retirees, their spouses, disabled veterans, and DoD civilians—can buy tickets starting at $220 for one-day or multi-day options, plus special events like Halloween Horror Nights. Check with your local Authorized Military Ticket and Travel office if you're unsure about eligibility.

Universal uses dynamic pricing, so tickets are cheaper on mid-week dates in off-peak months like September, January, and February. Multi-day passes also drop the cost per day significantly compared to single-day tickets. Before you buy, compare bundles versus separate tickets and lodging, factor in parking costs if you're staying off-site, and decide which add-ons (like Express Passes or photo passes) are worth it. Florida residents should also check for special discounts on annual passes and single-day tickets.
