Guide Abandons 15 Russian Tourists at Kamchatka Volcano Without Food, Money or Phone Signal

A guide deceived 15 Russians and left them at the foot of a volcano in Kamchatka without communication, money, food or water, according to a video posted by the Telegram channel Mash.

One of the affected tourists, Maria, said she found a guide named Nikolai from Krasnoyarsk and paid 165,000 rubles for a Kamchatka tour. Instead of the promised seven days, the trip lasted four. The final stop was the volcano, where the man abandoned the group.

He explained that his bank cards had been blocked and the tourists would have to get back on their own. "We're under the volcano, around us is dead forest, and it's 13 hours to civilization," Maria recalled. The tourists were left without food, water or phone signal, and it took them a long time even to call a car.

Nikolai also failed to provide the promised hotel and did not refund the money for the tour. Moreover, it turned out the man was on the route for the first time. The tourists discovered there were many other affected travelers to whom the perpetrator had not returned deposits of more than 100,000 rubles. They filed a police report.
