Goa Tourism Chief Reveals 2026 Holiday Costs for Russian Travelers

Russian tourists heading to Goa in 2026 can expect to spend roughly $35–$75 per day on food, local transport, shopping, and entertainment, according to Kedar Naik, director of Goa's tourism department. For shorter stays, daily expenses typically range from 3,500 to 7,000 rupees per person, with international flights and prepaid accommodation usually excluded from that estimate.

Those planning a longer, comfortable stay should budget around 90,000–130,000 rupees per month, which translates to approximately $950–$1,400, depending on housing, meals, transportation, and lifestyle choices.

The tourism department notes that Goa has been drawing more Russian visitors in recent years, especially during the winter season when many stay for several weeks. Northern Goa appeals to travelers seeking a lively cultural scene, while southern Goa is increasingly favored by families and couples looking for a quieter resort experience. The figures come directly from the state tourism ministry and reflect current spending patterns observed among Russian guests.
