Family's Egyptian Holiday Sours After Finding Parasite in Hotel Meal

A Russian family's vacation in Egypt took a disturbing turn during their first hotel lunch. According to a report by Shot, the couple and their three children had just checked into the Sunrise Remal Resort in Sharm el-Sheikh. At the hotel's main restaurant, they selected mackerel from the buffet. The meal was interrupted when their 16-year-old daughter felt an unusual object in her mouth and discovered a worm in her fish.
In video footage, the mother, Tatiana, who is a physician, displayed the parasite. She stated that the hotel's head chef attempted to dismiss the discovery, claiming the worm was merely a fish eye. While Tatiana and her children have not shown severe signs of food poisoning, her 10-year-old daughter is reportedly feeling unwell.
The family has demanded a full investigation from hotel management, specifically asking for the parasite to be identified. Tatiana expressed concern because her children have allergies, and the nature of the worm could pose additional health risks. As of now, the family says they have received no official response from the hotel administration.
This incident follows recent reports of a separate, larger-scale illness affecting Russian tourists at a hotel in Thailand, where over a dozen guests contracted intestinal infections and conjunctivitis.
