RIA NovostiMonday, June 22, 2026

A flight from Gyumri to Moscow was forced to make an unexpected landing in Makhachkala, Dagestan, due to a technical issue. The Southern Transport Prosecutor's Office has taken control of the situation to ensure the rights of passengers are protected. According to reports, the plane, operated by Pobeda Airlines, sent out a distress signal over Dagestan on Monday before making a safe landing. An investigation revealed that the emergency landing was caused by a faulty sensor that incorrectly detected a loss of cabin pressure. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. The prosecutor's office is monitoring the situation closely and will take action if necessary to safeguard the rights of those on board. The office stated that it will review the circumstances surrounding the landing and consider taking measures in response if warranted. The swift response from the prosecutor's office aims to provide reassurance to passengers and ensure that their rights are upheld in the face of unexpected disruptions to their travel plans.
