Drunk Chinese Tourist Arrested After Harassing Women and Brawling With Club Security in Pattaya

A Chinese tourist is behind bars in Thailand after a night of heavy drinking turned violent at a nightclub in South Pattaya. Local outlet Pattaya Mail reports the incident unfolded on April 22, when police responded to a disturbance at an entertainment venue. Officers arrived to find security guards restraining a heavily intoxicated foreign man who was screaming aggressively. Nearby, two young women—ages 19 and 20—gave statements to authorities. They said the man had repeatedly touched one of them inappropriately near the club entrance. At first, they tried to ignore him, but eventually asked security for help. That’s when the tourist turned hostile: he threw a glass at the women and started fighting with the bouncers. The victims told police they plan to file a lawsuit against him. Officers took the man to the station, where he continued shouting and acting erratically. He was placed in custody, and authorities are waiting for him to sober up before proceeding with the investigation. This comes just weeks after two Russian tourists caused a drunken scene in Patong, facing deportation for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
