Delta SkyMiles Members Can Now Earn Points on Airbnb Bookings

Frequent flyers who prefer a home away from home over a hotel room have a new reason to celebrate. Delta Air Lines and Airbnb have joined forces, allowing travelers to earn SkyMiles on eligible stays, experiences, and services booked through the vacation rental platform. The partnership kicked off on May 5.

Here's how it works: Connect your Delta SkyMiles and Airbnb accounts at deltaairbnb.com, and you'll automatically earn 1 mile for every dollar spent on qualifying Airbnb stays. Spend on Airbnb Experiences or Services—think guided walking tours, pottery workshops, or booking a private chef—and you'll earn 3 miles per dollar. That means booking a countryside villa in Tuscany, plus a pasta-making class and an in-home massage, could help you rack up enough miles to cover your flight there.

Once your accounts are linked, you'll see in-app notifications flagging eligible bookings and estimating your potential miles. But here's the catch: The connection only lasts 10 days. After that, you'll need to revisit deltaairbnb.com to renew it for another 10-day window. So if you're planning a trip, make sure to link up just before you book.

For travelers who love stacking rewards, this is a smart way to turn a vacation rental into a ticket to your next destination.
