Scotland's ski industry is ending the season on a high note, with several mountain resorts reporting their most successful winter in six years. Consistent cold snaps and significant snowfall from January through March created reliable conditions across the Cairngorms and Nevis Range, a welcome change from the recent pattern of unpredictable winters.

"It felt like a proper season again," said Fiona Grant, manager at Glenshee Ski Centre. "We had long stretches where the lifts were running and the pistes were full. The visibility wasn't always perfect, but the base was there. It brought a real buzz back."

The sustained conditions translated into strong visitor numbers, providing a vital economic boost to local businesses in Aviemore and Fort William. Hoteliers, equipment hire shops, and restaurants all reported a surge in trade tied to the ski traffic.

While the season is now winding down, the optimism remains. The successful winter demonstrates the enduring appeal of Scotland's ski offerings and underscores the economic importance of reliable cold weather for Highland communities.
