Crimean Tourism Surges: Yalta, Simferopol, and Alushta Lead as Bookings Jump 43%

MOSCOW, March 9 – New data reveals a significant uptick in travel to Crimea, with hotel bookings climbing 43% in 2025 compared to the previous year. The figures, provided to RIA Novosti by the travel service OneTwoTrip, also show visitors are staying longer, with the average trip now lasting three days, up from 2.8 days in 2024.
The southern coastal city of Yalta remains the peninsula's premier destination, accounting for more than a quarter of all accommodation bookings. Simferopol, the regional capital, followed with 15.9%, and the resort town of Alushta took third place with 8.4%. The top five was rounded out by Evpatoria (7.3%) and Feodosia (6.2%).
Travelers are spending more, too. The average daily room rate increased to 8,900 rubles last year, up from 8,200 rubles in 2024. Traditional hotels remain the accommodation of choice, outpacing guest houses and apartments.
The data sketches a portrait of the typical visitor: over half of all bookings (55%) were made for two people, while solo travelers made up 23% of trips. Nearly half of all visits (47%) are concentrated in the summer months from June to August, with spring and autumn accounting for 19% and 25% respectively, indicating a strong seasonal pattern despite the growing annual interest.
