Colombia Sees Surge in Russian Tourist Arrivals

A growing number of Russian travelers are discovering the charms of Colombia, with a notable increase in tourist arrivals from the country. According to Carmen Cecilia Caballero, the head of ProColombia, the agency responsible for promoting export, investment, and tourism in Colombia, the interest from Russian tourists has been steadily rising. In 2025, Colombia welcomed 8,269 Russian visitors, marking an 8.3% increase from the previous year. This upward trend continues, with 2,793 Russian visitors recorded in the first quarter of 2026, representing a 9% rise compared to the same period in 2025. Caballero attributed this growth to the gradual increase in interest from Russian tourists, who are drawn to Colombia's unique cultural and natural attractions. As the country continues to promote its tourism industry, it is likely that this trend will persist, with more Russian travelers expected to visit Colombia in the coming years.
