Cleveland Metroparks Adds Lakeside Eatery to New Sailing Center

The Cleveland Metroparks is spicing up its waterfront offerings this summer with a new restaurant called The Galley, set to open alongside the soon-to-debut Patrick S. Parker Community Sailing Center at the East 55th Street Marina.

The Galley will serve bold smokehouse dishes and craft cocktails, with sweeping views of Lake Erie and the Cleveland skyline—especially striking at sunset. Unlike seasonal spots, this one will operate year-round, much like the popular Merwin’s Wharf on the Cuyahoga River.

The sailing center, an $18.5 million project, features two main buildings: one dedicated to sailing education, the other focused on getting people out on the water. Crews had hoped to open the center by Memorial Day, but an official date hasn’t been announced yet.

For now, the Metroparks is rolling out details on The Galley’s menu and hours as construction wraps up. It’s shaping up to be a solid new destination for lakefront dining and recreation, all in one spot.
