Cleveland Hopkins Airport Lands at the Bottom of J.D. Power Satisfaction Rankings

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport has finished dead last among medium-sized airports in the 2026 North America Airport Satisfaction Study from J.D. Power.

The study scores overall customer satisfaction across areas such as bathrooms, accessibility, staff, food and retail options, and the arrival and departure experience. Hopkins, which the city of Cleveland operates, earned 597 points on a 1,000-point scale. Charleston International Airport topped the medium category with 712 points.

Tampa International Airport led large airports at 715 points, while Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport ranked highest among mega airports with 684 points.

This marks a drop for Hopkins, which placed second to last among medium airports last year. At the time, airport officials said the result fell "below our expectations," and the director of port control said the airport was committed to turning the feedback into improvements, noting progress was underway even if change takes time.

A multi-phase, $1.6 billion construction project is already in motion at the airport, planned to roll out over the next decade with a new terminal, more parking and upgraded transportation infrastructure.
