Celebrity Cruises Unveils a Bold New Lineup—Here’s What’s Coming

If you’ve been wondering where Celebrity Cruises is headed next, the answer is just about everywhere. Over the next year and into 2027, the line is rolling out a slate of new itineraries that span the globe, from the Mediterranean to the South Pacific, and even into river cruising for the first time.
Let’s start with the newest ship, Celebrity Xcel. After launching last fall in the Caribbean, it’s crossing the Atlantic for its first European season. Running through mid-October, seven- to 11-night sailings from Barcelona or Athens will call on Greek islands, coastal France and Italy, Portugal, Spain, and less-visited ports like Tangier, Morocco, and Madeira, Portugal. On select departures, the ship will stay overnight in Madeira—plenty of time for Madeira wine tasting or a visit to Cristiano Ronaldo’s hometown museum.
Up north, Celebrity is doubling its Iceland presence this summer with seven cruises aboard Celebrity Silhouette. The seven-night itineraries circumnavigate the island, with stops at geothermal spas, volcanoes, and the charming city of Akureyri. The August 8 sailing is timed for the August 12 solar eclipse, giving passengers a 360-degree view from the open sea. Two transatlantic crossings between New York and Iceland also include stops in Greenland.
After a year away, Celebrity Equinox returns to South America and Antarctica this winter. The 14-day sailings from December through February 2027 visit Buenos Aires, Montevideo, and the Straits of Magellan, then cruise past Paradise Bay and Elephant Island. There are no shore landings, but the price is a fraction of what smaller expedition ships charge.
Then there’s the big one: Celebrity’s first Grand Voyage. The refurbished Celebrity Solstice departs Alaska on September 13 for a 110-night transpacific journey to Southeast Asia, with 55 stops in places like Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, and Vietnam. New amenities include a sports bar, a cabaret lounge, and Fine Cut Steakhouse. If you can’t take the whole trip, segments are available.
Finally, river cruising arrives in late summer 2027 with Celebrity Compass on the Rhine and Danube. It borrows ocean-ship favorites like the Sunset Bar and a river version of the Magic Carpet terrace, plus several free excursions at each port. Twenty more river ships are planned, so this is just the beginning.
