California Earthquakes Leave Thousands in the Dark

A series of earthquakes struck Northern California on June 24, leaving nearly 7,500 homes without power in Mendocino County. The strongest quake, which occurred at 11:10 am local time, had a depth of 12.9 kilometers and was centered 11 kilometers from Redwood Valley. This was followed by several smaller earthquakes, including two series of tremors with magnitudes of 2.6 and 2.7. Local news outlets reported that the earthquakes caused cracks in home walls and disruptions to the power supply, which is confirmed by electricity providers. As of 12:30 pm local time, more than 7,400 homes in Mendocino County were still without power, while the rest of California was unaffected. Fortunately, there was no tsunami warning issued for the state's coastline. The earthquakes have caused significant disruptions to daily life in the affected area, with many residents left to deal with the aftermath. The cause of the earthquakes is still being investigated, but it is clear that they have had a significant impact on the local community. With the power outage ongoing, residents are bracing themselves for an uncertain period ahead.
